Hi, I’m Ross and welcome.
Psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist
I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist. I am trained to work with a range of individuals including children, adolescents, young people, adults and families. My background is in education where I have worked for over twenty years.
I have worked with people experiencing relationship difficulties, personality disorder, depression and anxiety, grief & bereavement, childhood trauma and neglect, problem drinking, drug use and many other emotional or relational issues.
I am an individual member both of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I adhere to their code of ethics. I have regular supervision with a psychotherapist where I discuss case work, maintaining your confidentiality, with a focus on my practice and development.

How I work
I will see you on a weekly basis at the same day and time each week. Each session lasts for 50 minutes. Please take a look at the about therapy page for more details of what you might expect during our sessions.
Once you have attended an initial session and want to continue with therapy, that time and day is your slot for as long as you wish to continue and will be unavailable on the booking page of the website.
Where to find me
I practice psychotherapy and counselling from Southside Counselling on a Monday and Friday from the Shawlands office. I also operate on Wednesday from Waterside Counselling in Paisley.
